Television's love affair with Eydie Gorme commenced with New York's locally-broadcast Steve Allen Show, and took on new prominence when she joined NBC's network as a singing star on its nationally-televised revised format, Tonight! It was there that she not only gained the national exposure that would completely transform her budding singing career, but honed her extraordinary craft. Performing popular jazz tunes as well as partaking in comedic skits, she perfected numerous facets of her talent, evolving into the daringly brassy, fully emotional singer for which she is now famous.
